A handy Hooter for your desk and beyond this early 1900's Owl pen holder is one wise choice. With a base made of brass, a Raptor of perhaps pewter and a "moon" of some sort of metal the piece is handsomely heavy for its size and can easily double as a paperweight. Measures 2 5/8" in length, 1.75" in width and is 2.25" high to the tip o' the Owl's ear. It's condition is commensurate with its age - structurally fine but showing some paint wear along the edge of the moon and some discoloration of the brass - which we did not polish as most like the patina (but which we DID dust as somehow folks don't care for it as much). The holder is marked "Hershey Derby, Conn." on the bottom, dating its creation between 1920-1940.
