1920's 'Peter's Adventures in Birdland' Children's Book
Published in 1922 and written by Florence Smith Vincent, "Peter's Adventures in Birdland" is a grand book of fiction that imparts not only fun but knowledge. In its 331 pages we follow Peter on many quests, each involving birds and all with a tale to tell. The book is hardbound and features a colorful cover with a Blue Jay, Woodpecker, Flicker and Goldfinch upon it (not to mention Peter) and has 30 black & white drawings within. It measures 8 1/8" x 5.5" x 1.25" and has the usual signs of wear that vintage books exhibit: scuffing along the edges, wear to the gold in the title, split paper along the seam inside the front & back covers (see pics), while "This book belongs to Linda Kellet" is written inside the front cover. An interesting book for children of all ages (and species).
