Looking for a vintage planter that's totally gnarly and totally colorful, too? Then check out this yellow Parakeet planter from Maddux of California that will enter on a wave of wonderful and delight with its detail and intense hues. Made during the 1950s or 60s the planter is in good condition with just a tiny, pinhead sized glaze flake on the front edge. It was used for its intended purpose in the past so there are some mineral deposits present, most of which can be scratched off with a fingernail, and some soiling on the inside (see pics). Measures 6 3/8 inches to the top of the bird's head and is about 3.5 inches in diameter with a well depth of 3 inches. Marked Made in California on the bottom along with number 337. This Budgie is fond of plants, sure, but would also be a well of excitement for pens, brushes, bird feathers, make-up tools or dried flowers.
