Lookin' for a planter that's totally gnarly and totally colorful, too? Then check out this yellow Parakeet that will enter on a wave of wonderful with delightful detail and intense hues. Made by Maddux of California during the 50's - 60's the planter is in good condition with just a tiny, pinhead sized glaze flake on the front edge. It was used for its intended purpose in the past so there are some mineral deposits present - most of which can be scratched off with a fingernail - and some soiling on the inside (see pics). Measures 6 3/8" to the top of the bird's head and is about 3.5" in diameter with a well depth of 3". Marked "Made in California" on the bottom along with #337. This Parakeet is fond of plants, sure, but would also be a well of excitement for pens, brushes, bird feathers, make-up tools or dried flowers.
