With hand painted colors that would rival any Peacock this fashionable figurine is actually a vintage Bee Eater by Goebel who's proudly perched atop a branch with leaves. He has a reason to be proud as he was created in West Germany in 1967 and has survived the past 45 plus years with nary a chip or crack, just some paint wear at the end of his beak and wing (see pics). The bird measures 7 1/8 inches tall to the tip of his beak and is approx. 3 inches at his base. He still retains his original foil label which names him in three languages and is also marked CV 82 along with the W. Goebel bee in V logo and dated 1967. A fabulous figurine to flaunt and flourish.
