A colorful and detailed vintage plate from Franklin Porcelain's Birds and Flowers of the Orient series depicting a lone Wren vocalizing among Narcissus blooms. It was created in 1979 by the artist Naoka Nobata and is a little larger than most plates, measuring 10.25 inches in diameter and is crafted of fine Japanese porcelain. It features a hand decorated 24 karat border and is surprisingly decorated on the back using elements of the plants. It is also signed by the artist with her personal hanko. You'll find the plate to be in excellent condition and accompanied by its original box and folder, which gives a little history on the Narcissus, the bird, and folklore among other things. It also names the month, December, for which the plate was inspired.
