When you're looking to entertain in style – Heron style, that is – then these vintage berry plates from Hutschenreuther of Germany are certain to show off your sophistication. Made between 1939 and 1964, the set of six feature a detailed Heron or Crane in black that's delicately highlighted in gold. Each plate measures 4 5/8 inches in length, 4 inches in width and .75 inches high at its upturned edge. All are in good condition with a little wear to the gold save for one that has a curious roughness and interruption along the gold border (see pic). All are marked Bavaria on the bottom but a closer look will reveal the Hutschenreuther logo underneath that corresponds to the above years. No berries on the brain? The plates are also great for use as trinket trays, chop stick holders, and spoon rests or you can even keep one (or two) and give them away singly as a thoughtful gift.
