Travel back to the mid century, 1960 to be exact, with this Audubon Advertising Calendar, a time when gas was cheap and calendars even more so......Given away by the Eddy Mortgage Company in 1959, this vintage calendar was tucked away in its original mailing envelope and saved for the day when the birds would be admired not only for their colors and grace but their age as well. Measuring 16.5 inches X 11 inches when opened (and 8.5 inches when not) the calendar features four colorful and detailed Audubon prints titled Purple Heron, Great Northern Diver or Loon, Red-breasted Merganser and Cock of the Plains (Sage Grouse). While the intact calendar pages are of paper, the prints are on light-to-medium weight cardboard as is the front and back of the calendar. Speaking of, the back has a short bio on John James Audubon and his prints as well as a description of each featured bird. Spiral bound and in good condition, this calendar would make a great gift for the 57 year-old bird lover in your life, as well as any fan of Audubon or vintage calendars. Quite superb, we're sure you'll be pleased.
