A sumptuous vintage print by the early 20th century watercolor artist, Cecil Golding, of a Plum-headed Parakeet in a Rose of Sharon shrub. Certain to delight both Parakeet and Parrot lovers alike, this print features subtle yet vibrant colors against a textured, off-white background and exhibits amazing, life-like detail. The print is matted, surrounded by a wood frame painted gold with a "crackled" effect, and is finished on the back with old paper, which has started to tear along the edges. Measures a nice 23 5/8 inches x 18 5/8" inches with a metal cord on the back for hanging and bumpers on the bottom (of the back) to protect your wall. The print is in good condition with no rips, stains or tears. I do see four small dots behind the glass that are on the glass rather than the print (see pic). Signed by the artist on the lower right and bears a sticker on the back which reads The Kramer Frame Shop, Dial 3171, Canton, N.C. A beautiful print and likely a bit rare as it's one I've never come across before. Truly exceptional, you won't be disappointed with this one!
