A colorful vintage Golden Crowned Kinglet from Stangl's Birds of America series, perched on some grass in a rather prone position. Made of pottery and hand painted, this bird was produced between 1940 and 1978 before the factory closed its doors. This particular bird was painted in the Trenton, NJ factory by Margaret Walsh and bears her initials on the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and measures 4.25 inches to the top of its tail, 3 inches from butt to beak and 2.5 inches from wing tip to wing tip. Fully marked on the bottom and ready to display (or be displayed) at your place. Quite a charmer, you'll like!
