A vintage and outstanding bone china and bronze metal sculpture of a Bald Eagle crafted in 1985 by Royal Worcester of England. It was the first issue in the Great American Birds of Prey collection and was created by the artist David Friar. Although the official limited edition was 9,800 worldwide I understand there were production problems and the actual amount created was much less. The figurine is the largest in the series measuring 8.5 inches in height, 6.5 inches in length, and 3.75 inches in width from wing to wing. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, not even around the ankles as this particular figure is inclined to have. The Eagle has a medallion on the bottom which reads Birds of Prey, 1985 Royal Worcester, Bald Eagle, Made in England, An Edition of 9,800". Well done with realistic coloring and hand painted details, we're certain you'll be pleased.
