Here's a beauty for your collection ~ this gorgeous early slicer with lovely handle and long, rippled wood and metal sections. The slicer measures 12.25" long x 5" wide. The rippled wooden piece does not tighten down, but is not an issue if displayed either hanging, standing or leaning. The age patina of the wood is worn smooth, and a lovely color. There is a maker's stamp on the back: "Handy Things Co. - Chicago, U.S.A. - Pat. Appld. For" There is a stable age crack in the handle, just an authentic flaw from frequent use in Granny's farmhouse kitchen. This lovely slicer would look amazing in your collection or hanging solo on a wall. A beauty!
