What a fabulous find from great grandma's Ohio farmhouse kitchen! This amazing old stoneware rolling pin measures 8" long not counting the handles, and approximately 15" long including the handles. It's just slightly over 3" in diameter. This rolling pin is in fantastic condition for it's age, dating from at least the early 1900's (115+ years).
There are no cracks, no chips, only a couple small flakes on one edge as seen in photos. There are a few very minor "character flaws" done during manufacture, which are not considered to be damage, but common for stoneware of this vintage....nothing to be concerned about. I am being very picky in my description ~ this piece is absolutely gorgeous and has the most beautiful "wildflower" cobalt decoration. The handles are secure and have developed a wonderful age patina.
You would search high and low and probably never find one of these stoneware rolling pins in such lovely, amazing shape. A true American country treasure for your primitive country kitchen! Don't let this beauty pass you by!
