Shield-shaped jewelry is always popular. This is an almost one-inch wide moss agate set in sterling silver with just a touch of engraving. In wonderful condition from late 1800s with darling little silver dragoon balls around the rim - often seen on Victorian jewelry. The moss agate is dense but you can see the moss inside the stone if held up to the light. It measures 1 1/4' x 1 1/4" with no scratching on the stone. Only marked PATENT on the back but I guarantee it to be silver. I consider this a unisex item.
