This is a beautiful 3 inch kilt pin - appears to be machine engraved so it has some sparkle. It has a ring closure so after 1920 and the only mark is a "Z" near the ring. The stone is foil backed so perhaps not a real amethyst but nicely faceted. Traditional kilt pins are mostly worn on a ,man's kilt but ladies use them also, and on sweaters and jackets so I consider this a unisex item. The inlays are red and green jasper and a light green bloodstone triangle. I guarantee this to be silver although no other markings. A must-have for anyone of Scottish descent!
