This is an older award for Scottish Highland Dancing. Note: It's a man dancing for the "Amateur Highland Medal Test". and he is performing the Sword Dance - see the crossed swords he is dancing over. Before battle these dances would be performed and the story goes it was deemed unlucky if the swords were displaced by the dancer. Measures 1 1/8 inch across and still has the velvet ribbon attached. From around the 20/30s I believe. Scottish thistles are on the edges. There is slight darkness to the enamel lower left which did not come off with polishing.
