This hallmarked silver brooch is from 1910 by silversmiths Joseph Cook & Son, Birmingham for a shop in Glasgow. See pictures. It is in the shape of a Scottish targe, an early shield. The Scottish red rampant lion is enamel on crossed swords. A beautiful pieces of Scottish jewelry for a man or woman. Measures 1 1/8 inches across and I have pinned this onto a piece of tartan which you can remove.
