Mappin & Webb Prince's Plate 1930 Calcutta Golf Club Trophy

The thistle got me! Calcutta Golf Club 1829 trophy with Motto ROYAL - FAR AND SURE. Monthly Competition "B" Members awarded to H. Ravenscroft July 1930. Bottom marked Triple Deposit Mappin & Webb's Prince's Plate London and Sheffield, with a "F" in a shield. W16518. A beautiful mug - see the official "PINT" marking on the top rim of reverse. Fairly heavy...a nice collector piece. Stands 4 1/4 inches tall, base is 3 1/4.
