This is wonderful set still in the original box which I will include. These types of earrings are getting so expensive and here they are with a matching brooch cum pendant - with a compartment for hair or a picture of a loved one. Victorian were very sentimental about these things and this would not used just as a mourning piece but as a way of holding a loved one close. The earrings and the brooch have tiny seed pearls long with perfectly formed drop tassels; eight on the brooch/pendant and three each on the earrings. There are no markings on the pieces but I was assured by the seller that these are gold, most likely 9ct if English or 10k. The only flaw I see are a very few tiny dings on the brooch. The brooch has an unusual closing so pin does not protrude and...there is a tiny ring so you hang something else onto the brooch/pendant. It doesn't get much better than this, just lovely. The pieces are light in weight and light in color.
