Although many reproductions have been made throughout the years, this one is original. In have a collection in my den and enjoy them very much, particularly when the firelight reflects on them. The leather on this one is very strong and dark, with a "W", an oval brass disc and a traditional shaped horse brass on the end. The "W" could be for Worthingtons, famous makers of beer in England. The horses were called dray horses and it was a wonderful sight to see them dressed for parade in these pieces with the manes and tails braided with ribbons. 16 inches long x 3 1/2 inch at widest.
