Victorian lockets this large and these true Victorian chains are hard to find. This is very thick chain 5/16 wide and interlocked to give a square effect. Just superb. The locket is not marked so I don't know the age but I am sure Victorian. They go so well together. The chain from the period where silver did not have to be marked. You have see this to appreciate the workmanship. Chain opens at the large "O" ring, an antique finish and not so heavy as it looks. The inside of chain measures 17 inches and the locket, not counting the link, is 1 3/4 long by 1 1/4. The thinner "drop" chain is 1 1/4 inches. I make several sets like this, always trying to use authentic Victorian fixings.
