Five inches wide and in nice condition with minor scratches inside. It has a very faint name on the bottom which ends in MUMITY I think (it's not a deep mark). A porringer is a "soft food" dish; a small vessel deeper than a plate or saucer, usually having upright sides, a nearly flat bottom, and one or two ears. Used in Scotland for porridge but originally from Mid East and France.
