This is a beautiful and delicate antique vinaigrette or pomander pendant. It is white guilloche enamel over sterling silver with a design of pink rosebuds. The bottom of the pendant unscrews so that you can place a piece of felt or cotton, saturated with your favorite scent, inside. It is marked Sterling and also with a maker's mark WOLCO. It dates to the very early 20th century, around 1900 to 1910. It is on a gold colored period chain.
The pendant is about 3/4 inch across and the chain is a bit over 18 inches long. It is in very nice condition with some very small areas of loss to the enamel. I have show this in closeup, but these areas are very small and not really noticeable when it is worn.
