This is a fabulous vintage Egyptian pin or pendant with a cut out image of a pharaoh and temple in the center. The center piece is prong set in a lovely frame with a beaded detail. It has both a pin back and a bail so it can be worn as either a brooch or a pendant. It has Egyptian hallmarks for 800 silver in three places - on the front on the frame, on the back and on the pin stem. They are rather hard to read. It was most likely purchased as a souvenir by a traveler in Egypt, probably in the mid-20th century.
It measures 1 7/8 inches in diameter and it is in excellent condition with some light surface wear.
