Here is a beautiful vintage Art Deco amber glass and filigree necklace, most likely Czech in origin. It features a large, oval, faceted center stone in a detailed mount made of gilt brass. The mount is extended on two sides near the top with filigree sections that connect to a strand of oval faceted amber glass beads with filigree caps. At the very back there are small sections of chain and it fastens with a simple slide catch. The center stone is exceptionally brilliant and has a lot of flash and fire. It is unmarked.
The necklace is 17 inches long and the center stone is 1 1/4 inches long by 7/8 inch wide. It is in very good vintage condition. The center stone has some light surface scratches, there are some fleabites to some of the beads and there is some wear to the metal. All of this is typical and none of it detracts from the beauty of the piece.
