This is a lovely Victorian vase in green glass with an enamel design in the style of Mary Gregory depicting a snow gnome or elf. He is reaching out to some sort of butterfly or other winged creature. Most of the design is in white enamel but the gnome's face and hand are in color. This indicates that it is most likely of European origin. The detail in the enamel design is very nice though this was difficult to capture in the photos. The vase has a nice form and a ribbed optic design. There are bands of gold gilt decoration at the bottom of the vase.
It is about 6 1/2 inches tall and about 3 inches across the top. There is some residue in the bottom from some long-ago flowers that did not come out when I washed it. I think this would come out with soaking. There is some wear to the gold gilt decoration. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs.
