This is a gorgeous Bohemian ruby cut to clear decanter with deer and a woodland scene. The heavy clear glass is flashed ruby red and wheel engraved with the beautiful and detailed scene which continues all around the decanter. It retains its original stopper which is also wheel etched. The bottom is polished and shows some wear consistent with the age of the piece. It dates to the late 19th or early 20th century.
It measures 9 1/2 inches to the top of the stopper, and 7 1/2 inches to the top of the decanter itself. It is about 3 inches across the base. It is in good condition with some light scratches to the surface which are not very noticeable, two very tiny fleabite chips along the base and some very tiny fleabites to the bottom of the stopper. There is some residue in the very bottom of the decanter, as can be seen in the pictures. None of this detracts from the appearance of the piece.
