This stunning pair of antique Victorian satin glass mantle vases are beautifully decorated with a raised gold design of wildflowers. They are a lovely translucent pale green and the decoration is very delicate and skillfully rendered. They are clearly intended as a pair, but the decoration while similar is slightly different on the two vases. These vases are mold-blown and hand decorated.
They date to the late 1800s, probably around the 1890s. I have not been able to identify a maker, but they are most likely Bohemian in origin.
They are 14 inches tall and about 5 inches across the widest portion near the base. The opening is about 2 inches across. They are in very nice condition with a couple of dark marks in the glass which appear to be manufacturing flaws and some wear to the gold around the top edge.
