This lovely vintage apple paperweight was made by Gibson Glass from shards of Burmese glass from the Fenton Glass company. The shards were remelted to form this freehand paperweight. Burmese glass was developed in the Victorian era and Fenton recreated the formula and started producing it in 1969. The paperweight is a mix of the pink and yellow characteristic of Burmese glass. The stem and leaf are primarily yellow. It is stamped GIBSON 1986 on the bottom.
It measures about 4 1/2 inches by 3 inches and it is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or other damage.
