This is a wonderful pair of antique Victorian Florentine Cameo vases. Florentine Cameo is not true cameo glass, but was made to imitate the beautiful English cameo glass being produced by Webb and Stevens and Williams. These vases are Bohemian and were made in the late 1800s. The beautiful enamel decoration is highly detailed and features birds and flowers on a dark amber satin glass base. The design is a mirror image on the two vases. They are stamped on the bottom Florentine Art Cameo although the stamp is only partially visible.
They measure about 8 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches across the widest part. They are in very good condition with no chips cracks or other damage to the glass. The enamel shows very little wear. The little white marks on the rim are enamel, not chips. One vase is a slightly darker color than the other.
