This is a wonderful antique Georgian period sterling silver cream jug or pitcher. It is fully hallmarked for Sterling silver, London, 1789 and it has the duty mark for that date as well. I have not yet been able to identify the maker's mark. It has a lovely slender form.
It is about 5 1/2 inches to the top of the handle and about 4 inches across at the widest point. It is in very good condition. As can be seen in the photographs, the base is a little uneven.
