This is a stunning vintage Art Deco period hand mirror in sterling silver and red guilloche enamel. The red color is unusual as these are more often found in blue, green and pink. It is a particularly lovely example, made by Foster and Bailey and marked with their F&B mark, the word Sterling and a patent date of 1929. The detail is exceptional and features a black enamel border setting off the dramatic red, and foliate details in the silver on the tip of the handle and the base of the mirror.
It measures 14 inches by 4 1/2 inches and it is in very good vintage condition with some silvering loss to the mirror, light surface scratches to the enamel, and one very small area of enamel loss to the black enamel as shown in the photographs.
