This is a wonderful vintage Arts and Crafts leather handbag. It is marked Meeker Made and dates to the very early part of the 20th century. It has a beautiful tooled pattern in the leather and a hammered brass frame with an amber colored early plastic catch. It still has its original mirror although the mirror has suffered considerable silvering loss.

The bag measures about 6 3/4 inches by 7 inches (not including the handle) and it is in generally good vintage condition. There are some areas of loss primarily on one edge of the handle, and the catch doesn't hold. There is also some verdigris on the frame, which could probably be cleaned up, but I did not wish to damage the original patina.
