We are pleased to offer this wonderful Haviland Limoges Moss Rose Coffee Pot.
What a beautiful pattern! The classic Moss Rose pattern has always been popular and has been interpreted by many companies, with Haviland producing some of the more superb and highly prized pieces.
This coffeepot has a moulded rope design on the handle that extends as a swag on both sides of the body. The straight handle on top of the dome lid has a three dimensional rope knot wrapped around it. It is trimmed with gold with a lovely pink color on the rims of the spout, lid and body, reflecting the pink in the hand painted roses. The cover has a steam hole and the overall look is very graceful.
This piece is a perfect complement to other Moss Rose items, and we have more in our shop. Ask us about our multiple purchase and combined shipping discounts!
It is marked "601.a; 26." and is ca. 1850-1880. It stands about 8 ½" tall.
Very Good Condition: no cracks, chips, nicks or crazing. The gold trim has wear, retaining 80%. The pink trim shows much less wear, retaining 98% and the scattered roses show no wear.
This is a terrific piece that would be a nice addition to any Moss Rose display, and it could be used as a special serving piece! Don't miss this one! We are always offering a nice assortment of vintage goodies, so please take a look through our shop. We would be pleased to combine shipping on multiple purchases.
