Framed Miniature Portrait featuring a Lady Holding Roses.
The portrait features a woman with a formal look, holding 2 red roses with a blue ribbon tie. She has a straight nose, small mouth and a mesmerizing gaze. The predominant color scheme is earth tones with bright white, red and blue accents. The oval is hand cut celluloid and is mounted in a very fancy white and gold frame with deep cranberry red velvet. The back has old printed paper backing and a triangular hanging loop.
It is ca. 1920, artist signed (possibly Webber?) and the picture itself measures almost 1 ½" x 1 ¾". The frame measures about 4 ¾" by 4 ¼" and extends 1 ¼:" from the wall.
Condition: the frame has minor wear and the paper backing has been cut to allow access to the picture. It has old tape over the original cuts; the portrait shows no signs of fading or damage.
Look no further if you want to find a darling miniature to add to your collection! This would be a nice addition and would also make a great gift.
