Antique Yellowstone National Park Crater of Oblong Geyser Artist Signed Postcard.
This undivided back postcard features a unique format and a beautiful picture from what was then a relatively new National Park. Yellowstone was declared a National Park in 1872, and this card is postmarked 1901.
The photographer of this artist signed work is F. J. Haynes, who was known as Yellowstone’s ‘Official Park Photographer’. It is a hand colored photograph that was reproduced in postcard form and published by E. L. Kropp, Publ., Milwaukee. It is No. 289.
Condition: edge wear; some minor age discoloration; a minor crease near the top left; no tears.
This is a unique card that is hard to find. It would be a terrific addition to a collection of Haynes Art or early Yellowstone Park postcards! Don’t miss the opportunity to add it to your set!
