EAPG Ruby Stained Souvenir Tumbler from Putnam, Connecticut
This piece has a gothic arch type pressed glass pattern around the bottom and straight, red stained sides with a slightly flared rim. The words “Putnam Conn.” Are etched into the red color on one side. The base has a beautiful star pattern.
It is unmarked and it was likely purchased as a souvenir of a local ‘event’, like a harvest fair or town anniversary. It measures about 2 ¾" tall.
Condition: no cloudiness, chips, nicks or cracks. The ruby stain design has minor scratches, retaining about 99%.
This is a lovely example of ruby stained EAPG. Pieces like this usually had a person’s name etched on the side, so it is a little unusual to find one with a town’s name. Putnam is a small town in the northeast corner of Connecticut. Terrific for display, any collector would be happy to own this. We are offering several other pieces of glass as well as lots of other goodies, so please take a look at our other items. We would be pleased to combine shipping on multiple purchases.
