3 Early Taxco, Mexico Sterling Figural Flying Geese Scatter Pins.
This is a set of 3 matching pins, all shaped like flying geese or ducks. The set is circa 1930s, which is considered early Mexican silver, and it is a rarity to find a full set still together! They are identical in size and they all have a c-clasp on the back and an elongated pin stem.
Marked “Silver” with the word Mexico in varying degrees of legible information.
Each measures about 1 ½” from beak to tail and 1” tall to the top of the wings.
Total combined weight 5.8 grams.
Condition: nice heavy patina that comes with time; no damage.
What a delightful set! It would be a thoughtful gift for a bird lover, outdoorswoman, or nature lover. The pins are lightweight so they are the perfect choice for summer weight clothing or lightweight blouses.
