US Military Sterling Pilot Wings Cap Pin.
This pin depicts a shield with outstretched wings on either side. It is a World War II era pin and would have been worn on a peaked cap or by the civilian family of an Army Air Force airman.
It has a roll-over clasp on the back and is marked “Sterling”, with the ‘S’ not showing due to poor stamping. It tests as sterling.
It measures about 1 9/16” across the wings.
Condition: nice patina that comes with time; no damage.
This is a fabulous and highly collectible piece of history. It would be a thoughtful gift for a Militaria collector or for a history buff.
