Vintage Gaspeite Sterling Silver Ring.
This unique ring features a rich green oval cabochon of dark apple green gaspeite, a rare mineral named for the location it was first described, in the Gaspe Peninsula of Quebec Canada. It has a bold streak of black mineral diagonally across the stone, adding interest to the streamlined, modernist setting.
The ring is a size 6.5 and cannot easily be sized. The stone is approximately 8mm by 16mm.
Marked Sterling and SW or WS; we haven’t been able to identify the maker.
Condition: no bends, cracks, chips or damage; nice patina.
