This is a stunning Art Deco bar pin from 1915 by Sloan & Co featuring a fantastic combination of french cut black onyx, seed pearls, and 14k yellow gold. The dramatic combo of geometric, faceted black onyx and rich 14k yellow gold makes this a definitive Art Deco pin! The edges are pierced with a rectangular negative space element that reinforces the angular, almost architectural Deco look. The alternating pattern of black onyx and seed pearls creates a classic black and white color scheme that means this pin can define anything you wear it on. Did it once sit on the lapel of a fine gentleman in the early 20th century? Or did it decorate the jacket of a distinguished lady? We’ll never know for sure, but we can guess it will go on to adorn a person with modern style!
