19th Century Japanese Shakudo Drop Earrings in Silver Victorian
This pair of Victorian Japanese Shakudo Earrings feature two panels depicting life in Japan of old. Over one hundred years old, these panels feature beautiful scenes in the art form known as Japanese Shakudo. When Japan opened its borders in the 19th century, objects like this pair of earrings were centers of fascination for Europeans.
One of a kind and the craftsmanship is amazing! Best of all, no one else will have earrings quite like these.
The larger panel is just over 1/2 inch in diameter. The smaller panel is just under 1/2 inch in diameter. The overall length of each earring is just under 1.75 inches.
There is gold, platinum, silver, copper, and bronze. The frames and chain are silver.
This pair of earrings would make a perfect companion piece to our Japanese Shakudo necklace.
