A Victorian equine novelty stickpin. Made of 18ct gold. The head comprised of a horse and rider with a crop and wire work reigns. Attached to a long pin. Circa 1890. In a contemporary fitted case. Measurements of horse and rider, length 13/16" ( just under 2.1 cm ), height just under 1/2" ( 1.2 cm ), depth 3/16" ( just over 5mm ). Total length including pin 2 3/4" ( 7 cm ). Condition, Very Good. Both the head and the pin have been acid tested as 18ct gold. A good quality late Victorian novelty stickpin.
