A Victorian pendant. Made of 15ct gold. Circle shaped, the obverse decorated with millegrain edged scallops decorated with chain and centred by blue enamelled scallops set with a pearl and diamonds. The lower edge decorated with a tapering tasseled fringe. The obverse containing a glazed compartment for hair or a photograph. Suspended from a 9ct gold Victorian chain. Measurements, diameter ( just under ) 15/16" ( 2.45 cm ). Length including tassel 1 1/2" ( 3.8 cm ), depth ( from top of the pearl to front of the glazed compartment ( just under ) 1/2" ( 1.2 cm ). Length of chain 18" ( 46 cm ). Condition Very Good, a very small indentation to the front right hand edge. The gold has been acid tested as 15ct gold. In Victorian fitted case. Some wear to the silk of the lid lining. A nice wearable 1870s pendant.
