A Victorian Miser's purse. Composed of a blue and beige coloured knitted ground with applied steel bead detail. Decorated with bands of oval shapes and leaves. With attached steel bead work fringe and tassel and steel ring sliders. Circa 1845. Measurements, total length ( including fringe and tassel ) 14" ( 35.5 cm ), width 2 1/4" ( 5.7 cm ). Condition, Very Good. Some very small loses to the bead work detail and slight rusting to some of the steel surfaces ( all consistent with age ). A very good quality early Victorian Miser's purse.
