An Edwardian 9ct gold necklace. Consisting of a belcher link chain from which are suspended 11 wire collet set graduated oval amethysts ( the amethysts are a well matched light purple-mauve colour ), . Snap barrel clasp. Circa 1905. Measurements, length of chain 16 1/2" ( 42 cm ). Measurement of amethyst drops ( including suspension loops ) smallest, length 1/2" ( 1.25 cm ), width 5/16" ( 8 mm ), largest, length 9/16" ( 1.4 cm ), width 3/8" ( 9 mm ). Condition, Very Good. A nice wearable edwardian necklace. The snap barrel clasp is stamped 9 ct. The photographs of the amethysts have a bluish ting, they are in fact a well matched light purple-mauve colour.
