Eternal love was the theme of many pieces of Victorian jewelry. This eternal love knot pin would have been worn proudly by a young Victorian bride to show the deep love she has for her husband.
This brooch features the snake motif of the Victorian Love Knot that is accented with delicate etching on the metal in a floral design. All of this is around a large center faceted glass stone the color of golden topaz. The pin is secure by a “C” clasp and the pin shank extends longer then the body of the pin, consistent with the brooches of the mid-Victorian era (1860-1880).
SIZE: The three dimensional brooch measures 2 ¼” wide and 1 ¼” high.
CONDITION: This brooch is in very nice antique condition. The rectangular prong set faceted glass stone is a lovely light golden color and is very secure. The pin back works well. The rest of the pin is in just lovely condition.
This would be a really lovely bride’s gift or an anniversary present.
