Having made quite a comeback in the past 18 months, marquise-cut diamond engagement and anniversary rings are once again one of the most searched for styles currently! Always the perfect cut to 'lengthen' the look of the finger, you can find this diamond-shaped cut in many modern and past-era pieces, particularly Art Deco and late Edwardian styles.

This dainty and darling petite marquise diamond ring is the ideal 'starting out' ring. Whether you want a 'simple' engagement ring, or are working within a budget, this beauty checks the box for so many things! Set with a delightfully bright & clean central marquise-cut diamond measuring approximately 6.40 x 4.00mm (depth estimate 2.50mm), with an estimated carat weight of 0.35 to 0.40ct, though not a huge diamond, she's mighty fiery and clean! Under magnification, we can see perhaps a surface-reaching 'feather' (an angled long needle-like inclusion) and just one very tiny fleck of carbon within the diamond. She's otherwise spotless. We safely grade the diamond Si1-Si2 based on the feather-like inclusion, but otherwise the diamond would easily fall in the VS1-VS2 range. Her color is white F-G, with a good cut, allowing for wonderful scintillation.

The band of the ring, popularly referred to as 'marquise & dot' style, is designed as alternating round & diamond/marquise-shaped millegrain-etched patterns, holding 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 diamonds per side. These 12 tiny little sparklers measure close to 1mm each, with an estimated combined carat weight of 0.10ct. As the depths to all these diamonds are immeasurable, the stated carat weights are merely estimates by calculation. They appear to grade clean Si1-Si2 under magnification, with G-H color. In all, we believe the TOTAL diamond carat weight for the ring to be approximately 0.50ct.

With lots of room to size and weighing 2.40 grams, the ring is clearly stamped '18k', and currently measures 16.96 - 17.30mm inner diameter, which falls between a US size 6.50 to 7.00. The band is slightly more oval than round, hence the size range, and appears to have perhaps been sized in the past, though we can't be entirely certain. Sizing up or down should be no issue at all, but please always inquire about sizing before placing your order should it be required.
