WOW! Here is a stunning 18kt white gold ring from designer A.Jaffe, diamond-studded with micro-pave high quality diamonds and set with a certified unheated purple sapphire!

Diamonds - diamonds - everywhere - what a GORGEOUS ring! With diamonds running down the top and sides of this amazing setting, the sparkle factor is just huge in this beautiful piece.

Hallmarked "A.Jaffe", this ring holds a rare unheated/untreated natural purple sapphire weighing 1.01ct at its center. Square-cushion cut in shape, the sapphire is a rich eggplant purple with flashes of blue and red, and measures 5.86 x 5.03 x 3.14mm. This sapphire comes accompanied by an AIGS laboratory gem ID certificate, and is noted as natural with "No indication of heat treatment". Our gemologist has graded the sapphire as having "medium dark, moderately strong purple color" with just slightly included clarity. The sapphire sits securely within 4 double prongs of 18kt white gold.

The mounting is spectacular, decorated with dozens of micro-pave set diamonds of excellent VS1 to Si1 clarity and white F-G color, as do all Jaffe settings. There are 112 diamonds in total, with 84 measuring approximately 1.14 to 1.15mm, and the remaining 28 diamonds measuring 1.60 to 1.63mm. Per the appraisal, these diamonds total 0.89ct, calculated within their setting.

After much searching, we were able to find this mounting available at Jaffe, selling for $4,300 alone, with no center stone. The Jaffe website states the carat weight total as 0.84ct for comparison to our gemologist's calculations. They too state VS clarity for the diamond grade.

Currently a US size 7, while sizing up or down will be possible, the range will be small due to the intricate pave-set diamonds. Additionally, the Jaffe hallmark may be somewhat marred if sizing is required. That said, the appraisal states the mounting as a Jaffe design, so you will have that for your insurance purposes even if the markings are somewhat removed with sizing.
