Continuing with our clearance of books about identifying and collecting vintage costume jewelry, we are pleased to offer this classic by Cherri Simonds, originally published in 1977, but still wonderfully relevant to costume jewelry fans and collectors.
This 250-page hardcover book measuring 11 1/4" by 8 3/4" by 3/4", is very comprehensive. You will enjoy viewing full colour photos with accompanying descriptions. Prices shown are applicable to the time of publishing but are a solid indicator of each item's value. Take a look at the photo of the contents page: not only does Simonds' book offer lovely photos, but it houses a wealth of information on how to collect, clean and look after vintage jewelry, how to spot fakes, and at the back is an excellent section to help you identify designer logos. There is also a super but short bio on many of the designers e.g. Hattie Carnegie, Kramer, Josef and Eisenberg, just to name a few!
Despite its age, this book is in excellent condition with no rips, tears or marks.
